Course Description

The aim of this programme is to provide participants with an understanding of how to build a financial model from scratch. The overall objectives of the programme are:

• Building a financial statement forecast model for corporate finance, ensuring that all the drivers are appropriate, that the modelling logic and the accounting treatments are sound, and that modelling best practice is applied.
• Key input drivers will be modelled to both revenues and costs and will include multiple currencies and impact of inflation on the model.
• The course will incorporate different approaches to modelling structured financings, where the volatility of the cash flow (as opposed to its value) is the key to determine serviceability of a stressed financing structure.
• The design and implementation of scenarios, as well as the sensitivity and break-even analysis, will be covered extensively.
